Your Role:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join EMD Electronics as a West Production Engineer. In coordination with the Operations Superintendent at Hometown, you will implement, maintain, and adjust processes associated to our world-scale fluorine franchise. You’ll ensure a consistent and stable operation of existing facilities at the Hometown, PA site. As a member of this team, you will be a foundational member of driving the production of electronic materials that influence our daily lives and help advance digital living for all humankind. You will lead design efforts to improve production and utilize engineering fundamentals to work with team members across the globe. Additionally, you will advise senior management of production planning and engineering strategies that achieve goals/objectives of the franchise.

 

  • Design, develop and sustain of high purity chemical systems and electrolytic production.
  • Utilize lean six sigma and continuous improvement tools.
  • Review raw material analysis and provide data-based decisions on planning.
  • Lead/participate in OPHR (operational process hazard reviews)

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience Chemical Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of process chemistry, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and hydraulics
  • Ability to lead small teams related to production or infrastructure changes.
  • A curious individual with a talent to continuously improve.
