Location: The Digital Transformation Engineer is an onsite position based in Tamaqua, PA with approximately 10% domestic travel required to meet business needs.
Your Role:
The Digital Transformation Engineer is responsible for the following key accountabilities:
- Develop automated end-to-end data pipelines for our products and processes to feed downstream analytics and visualizations.
- Design and deliver standardized digital solutions to improve planning, process monitoring and control, and root-cause investigation.
- Apply chemical engineering principles and domain knowledge for data mapping and process mapping, developing digital solutions, and interpreting the results of data analytics.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers as well as the operational teams to understand and prioritize user requirements, formulate clear development roadmaps, perform testing and validation, and deploy digital solutions aimed at improving safety and quality, increasing labor efficiency, and/or maximizing production capacity in a standardized way across the business unit.
- Act as the first line of defense for advanced data analytics within Specialty Gases operations, effectively addressing quality issues and customer complaints.
- Own and improve digital solutions, and act as the technical point of contact for users.
- Support digital tool adoption within the business through upskilling, training, and engagement initiatives
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, candidate must have 10+ years' experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or quality.
- Experience in data engineering, pipeline development, data science, data analytics, and data visualization and dashboard development.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Python to perform data engineering, statistical modeling, and data visualization with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark & others.

Experience building end-to-end data pipelines, dashboards, and custom applications using the Palantir Foundry platform.

Proficiency with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Workshop (Foundry), and Contour (Foundry).

Strong SQL skills for data exploration and analysis.

Experience applying statistical methods to control and improve manufacturing operations.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP (Quattro, S/4HANA) or similar platforms.

Background in Continuous Improvement; Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification preferred.

Ability to quickly and independently understand complex data architectures.

Proven ability to drive decision-making through data and visualization.

Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
