Your Role:

The Customer Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting the promotion and closing technical requirements for new products to customers to further advance their use within the electronic markets we serve. Furthermore, the Customer Applications Specialist will facilitate any customer escalations and issues with our internal teams.  You will be specifically responsible for Patterning (Lithography and Cleans) new product opportunities for next generation technology nodes with a focus on advanced materials.

This position will report to the Head of Customer Applications – Patterning Solutions. Critical to the success in this position is developing deep and lasting relationships with key representatives at assigned strategic customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Open new doors at our strategic customers by developing and maintaining close relationships with key contacts to advance the identification of new product opportunities.
  • Identify new product opportunities and applications, interpret technical requirements, and translate the opportunity requirements to the Market Manager and R&D for their evaluation. This includes quick, frequent, and proactive communications with the customer contacts regarding new material quote requests, RFIs, SDSs, container details, basic analytical, orders, tracking action items, and other information needed to promote and secure New PORs in Advanced Patterning Materials.
  • Guide internal resources to support the customer’s information and data requirements to progress a new product from development to successful HVM ramp. The incumbent must act with urgency. 
  • Maintain notable credibility both externally and internally with a high degree of collaboration with customers, Patterning personnel (especially the Technology and Marketing functions) and country/regional Sales teams.
  • Make use of sales skills and business acumen to promote our new materials to our strategic accounts and to work with our marketing group to prioritize internal R&D efforts based on future commercial potential.
  • Utilize a high degree of influence and excellent communications skills to communicate customer requirements to the global organization and drive the response that our customers require from us to be mutually successful.

 

This position will include travel both domestically and internationally

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or other Science or Engineering field  
  • 5+ years of experience in the electronic materials space

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in science/engineering
  • Customer or technical field applications background
  • Knowledge of semiconductor lithography materials and processes
  • Strong teamwork spirit, inter-personal communication and influencing skills while working independently
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal partners and customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and take initiative, strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Proven track record in previous sales or marketing roles
  • Hands-on experience in technical marketing, commercial negotiations, business planning, strategy development and execution
