Location:
The Head of New Product Introduction (NPI) for Gases and Equipment is an on-site based role located at one of our facilities in, Tempe or Chandler, AZ, Allentown or Tamaqua, PA, or Austin, TX with travel required to meet business needs.
Your Role:
The Head of New Product Introduction (NPI) role is focused on the selection, execution, and commercial launch of new product offerings within our Specialty Gases and Delivery Systems businesses. The position within has primary responsibility for the NPI process and projects, orchestrating multiple business functions to execute the development of new products, which may include new molecules, new manufacturing technologies, new chemical delivery equipment, and new technological capabilities.
The main focus will be directly leading NPI project execution teams to ensure successful completion of projects, resulting in a new commercial offering. Additional responsibilities include management of the overall project portfolio and stage-gate process, leading gate reviews, conducting technical reviews with customers, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor industry roadmaps and technology evolution. To execute projects, this role is expected to coordinate multiple functions, such as R&D, engineering, supply chain, sales, etc. into cohesive and efficient project teams, adapting to changing market conditions and project maturity stage. Planning and execution of project-related CapEx and intellectual property strategies are also in scope. Further, this role will work closely with commercial functions to help develop customer engagement strategies and go-to-market approaches.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in chemistry, physics, materials science, or chemical or electrical engineering or related degree and 8+ years of experience in product development or management, research & development, marketing, or project management within the semiconductor fabrication, fab equipment or electronics materials industries with 2+ years’ experience with new product development
OR
- MS in chemistry, physics, materials science, or chemical or electrical engineering or related degree and 6+ years of experience in product development or management, research & development, marketing, or project management within the semiconductor fabrication, fab equipment or electronics materials industries with 2+ years’ experience with new product development
- 10% International and Domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or chemical or electrical engineering
- Experience with customer/external engagement and communication.
- Experience managing IP (e.g. patents, trade secrets)
- Experience executing research or technology development projects.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes, especially plasma etching
