Your Role:
The successful candidate will be detail oriented and proactively drive safe practices, support, and follow site safety policies. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced R&D environment that requires exceling within a changing environment while working with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives. This position requires the candidate to be on-site in a clean room type laboratory environment for the bulk of their workday. Primary responsibilities/duties:
- Independently executing all aspects of operation, repair, trouble shooting, and preventive maintenance to insure proper operation and maximum up-time of the commercial PECVD system and its associated equipment. This includes operating the deposition system via the software screens, manually loading/unloading and handling 300mm Si wafers in a clean room environment, and, when required, full wet cleans of the process chambers (PECVD and UV Cure).
- Operating commercial chemical delivery systems for toxic and reactive chemicals (liquid and gas) common to the semiconductor industry, such as EMD Electronics ChemGuard & GasGuard delivery systems.
- Routinely operate small scale metrology equipment on 300mm silicon wafers (for example, FTIR spectrometers, reflectometers, ellipsometers, etc.).
- Communicating day to day processing and metrology results verbally and through daily run sheets and passdowns. Maintaining maintenance records and part inventories.
- You will be expected to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues and tasks according to R&D needs.
- You will be working within a changing R&D environment and expected to work with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives.
- You will be expected to manage conflict and manage critical situations.
Physical Attributes:
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., work in awkward positions as necessary, walk, stand, or sit for up to 8 hrs.
- Work in a clean room type laboratory environment for up to 8 hours handling 300 mm Si wafers
Location: onsite in our Tempe AZ facility
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience maintaining a 200mm or 300mm commercial deposition or etch platform, with a working knowledge of how to process wafers through the system, including the vacuum system
- 2+ years of experience working with Swagelok, VCR, and common vacuum fittings (KF, ISO, etc.)
- 2+ years working in a clean room environment wearing clean room garments
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft software, such as Excel and Word
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education or experience in electromechanical.
- AA Technical Degree or military equivalent experience
- Experience operating metrology equipment on 300mm silicon wafers (for example, FTIR spectrometers, reflectometers, ellipsometers, etc.).
- Experience handling toxic and reactive chemicals and gases common to the semiconductor industry.
- Experience operating commercial chemical delivery systems for toxic and reactive chemicals (liquid and gas) common to the semiconductor industry, such as EMD Electronics ChemGuard & GasGuard delivery systems.
- Experience with LO/TO
- Respirator Certification
- Proficient troubleshooting skills and a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Self-starter: Independently learns and can be trained by others on the job, manages time by priorities
