Your Role:

In this role you will be involved with the processing and movement of parts / components, chemical drums, and other items throughout the plant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining safe working conditions and practices to achieve safety objectives, and safety documentation as well as attending all mandatory site-specific training and meetings, and participate in site safety programs
  • Performing work duties in accordance with Quality Systems Manual procedures, safety policies and site-specific requirements, and keep work area safe, clean, and orderly condition always.  Participate in the process for entering, collecting and reviewing safety and quality data
  •  Utilizing our MPR enterprise system associated with the shipping role, know all the labeling requirements for each package / product shipped, and know all the shipping packaging kits and equipment used
  • Prepares goods (including hazardous materials) for final shipment according to applicable regulations
  • Operate a forklift and pallet jack (both electric and manual). Must maintain forklift certification
  • Assist with reviewing, editing, and developing work instructions and other required documents associated with the work area(s)
  • General Warehouse management including inventory control of material, storing, receiving, handling and processing of chemical raw material drums and other vessels throughout the plant
  •  Utilize a computer to input and retrieve data and collect receipt, inspection and delivery of ordered materials

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs
  • Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, and or reach above shoulder
  • Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, masks, and or steel toed safety shoes

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in driving a forklift in a warehouse or chemical environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MRP enterprise type system for inventory and warehouse management
  • Knowledge of DOT 49CFR Hazardous Goods, IATA – International Air Dangerous Goods, ADR – Agreement on Dangerous Goods by Road and IMDG – International Maritime Dangerous Goods regulations in preparing goods for final shipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience reading Safety Data Sheets and technical drawings
  • Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
