Your Role: You are passionate about process improvements in the area of HR, supported by the newest applications & technologies? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented HR Solution Expert to join our global Merck Group Functions IT team. The role is located in Darmstadt, Germany. In this role you are accountable to plan, manage and actively support in executing the HR data governance in close cooperation with our HR Solution Architect on a global project level. You will support our HR organization in the evolution of the global IT HR landscape striving for efficiency in operations, data contingency and stringency as well as for appealing user experience using our state-of-the-art systems. You will work with our business teams to discuss and clarify demand and design of the technical solutions. For implementation, development, and deployment you collaborate with our global Project Management & Application Technology teams in Darmstadt and Bangalore, or external implementation partners.

 

Who you are:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related subject
  • 4-7 years of experience in global IT & Project Management, ideally with focus on HR Projects
  • You strive to work in the zone between IT and today’s vital business topics with strong motivation to learn. You bring a creative and open mind, work proactively, taking actions and anticipating opportunities
  • Clear communication skills, with essential business English at negotiation level - additional languages would be an advantage
  • Functional knowledge in the HR space
  • Ability to capture and translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions
  • Experience with, or knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors & SAP Cloud Platform
  • Interest in key trends in the IT space such as cloud migration, advanced analytics, and big data 
  • Demonstrated experience in creating functional design documents and internal proposals / Statement of works for technical teams
  • Experience working with outside and third-party vendors in a collaborative environment
