Global Expert General Ledger Processes

Your role:

You are responsible for global end-to-end (E2E) process design in the area of General Ledger Accounting plus E2E closing processes to improve business outcomes. As a process manager / owner you define and further develop and optimize process steps, roles & responsibilities, tools.


You will take care of the following aspects: 1. General Ledger processes, with Inventory Accounting being one focus area, and related tools are designed and implemented according to requirements laid out in the company’s global accounting guidelines and procedures. 2. Transparency and measurement of assigned process area is provided by defining process performance KPI. 3. You ensure consistent and high-quality documentation existing and up-to-date for the assigned E2E processes. 4. Process improvements, automation and innovation is driven continuously in close alignment with Operational teams (mainly but not limited to Shared Service Center) and other stakeholders, such as our Robotics Process Automation team. 5. You will also ensure the sustainability in usage of standard processes and following of standard structures defined in global ERP systems in close alignment within own Process Management department as well as Project Management and related IT departments.


Who You are:

  • An ideal candidate will have a Degree in Finance or similar field and at least 5 years work experience in Finance and accounting area.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Balance Sheet Accounting processes & reporting, end-to-end closing process experience.
  • Knowledge in SAP FI is required, other modules like CO, SD & MM and cross module dependencies are a strong plus
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (or UK/US GAAP).
  • Hands-on experience in Inventory accounting is a strong plus
  • Pro-active mindset, analytical and structural thinking with high motivation to drive optimization, harmonization and process definition
  • Ability to drive changes & continuous improvement across operative and project-related Finance-functions and related departments
  • Ability and collaborative spirit to work in an international team, also remotely, across several global locations and time zones
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance several on-going tasks simultaneously
  • High degree of stakeholder focus, with the ability to understand their (possibly diverging) interests. Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English
