Your Role
MilliporeSigma is seeking a Distribution 3PL Operations Team Lead to serve as the critical link between our internal operations and our third-party logistics (3PL) partners. In this pivotal role, you will ensure seamless material flow, maintain rigorous inventory accuracy, and uphold all shipping and safety compliance standards. Beyond daily oversight, you will troubleshoot operational hurdles, collaborate across internal departments, and drive process improvements and team training. This position is hands-on and may include operating warehouse equipment as needed, with occasional travel to our Cranbury, NJ site.
Physical Attributes:
- Lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements
- Work in warehouse environments with variable temperatures and potential exposure to chemicals
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and chemical-resistant gear
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on using Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for operational reporting
- Hands-on experience navigating ERP and WMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder to track inventory and manage material movement
- Comprehensive understanding of shipping regulations and hazardous material handling protocols to maintain safety and compliance
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of solving complex operational problems
- Ability to work with high levels of autonomy while maintaining a collaborative approach in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Technical familiarity with inventory management technology, including RF scanning systems and standard warehouse equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail necessary to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively
Pay Range for this position: $27.00 - $42.00/hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
