Your Role:
Under general supervision, the mechanic independently overhauls, troubleshoots and repairs machinery, equipment and the facility at large as well as installing new equipment. The Mechanic shall be required to perform work in one or more of the following manufacturing areas: component preparation, compounding, filling, capping, packaging, and machine shop. In this role you will work with the area Production Supervisor to determine work and repair priorities that may impact their operation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs Preventive maintenance on equipment and plant systems.
- Performs setup and installation of equipment and training for production employees on machine operation.
- Diagnoses malfunctions of production equipment and utility systems and makes necessary repairs.
- Completes work orders, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- As a part of the employee’s job requirements, the employee may be required to handle waste including hazardous waste.
Physical Attributes:
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Use ladders regularly.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of work experience in electrical, pipe fitting, machinist, or other trade.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience interpreting drawings and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in maintaining documentation.
- GMP pharma experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills; repairing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting.
- Boiler and/or steam experience.
- Documentation and CMMS experience.
Pay Range for this position: $70,600 - $111,000 / year
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
