Your Role:

EMD Electronics is seeking an Operations Technician to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to grow within a dynamic, scaling organization.

The Operations Technician is responsible for safely and effectively operating manufacturing equipment and completing plant routines as required by site-specific processes and policies.

  • Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety policies and procedures, complete required safety documentation and mandatory trainings.
  • Operate manufacturing, packaging, and testing equipment per Quality Systems Manual procedures safely and efficiently; collect in-process and finished product samples.
  • Perform manufacturing operations across multiple facility systems; troubleshoot minor equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders.
  • Monitor production processes and report deviations promptly to the lead or manager; utilize automated programs for consistent and reliable production.
  • Inspect work areas for safety hazards and mechanical issues; keep spaces clean, organized, and well-supplied.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure continuous production; assist in training and onboarding new employees.
  • Support the creation and revision of SOPs; contribute to continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage in-process raw materials and consumables; assist with shipping and receiving as directed. 
  • Hours are 5PM-5AM on a rotating schedule.

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, or reach overhead.
  • Wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, masks, and steel-toed shoes. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Experience with automated systems.

 

Pay Range for this position: $22-$35 per hour. 

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
