Nantong Site Finance Controller 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Financials Controller with extensive experience in product costing. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations at our site, ensuring accurate product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making. This role will involve partnering closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize costs and improve profitability.

 

Your role:

1. Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the site’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation, accruals, and financial analysis.

2. Product Costing:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage product costing systems, including cost standards, Bill of Materials (BOM), and routings.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on manufacturing costs (material, labor, and overhead), and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support new product development, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor actual costs vs. standard costs and analyze variances to ensure cost control.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with site and corporate objectives.
  • Track financial performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, risk assessments, and contingency planning.

4. Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide insights into site operations and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including Site financials statements, cost center reports, and margin analysis.
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to develop financial models for inventory management, production planning, and efficiency projects.

5. Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Maintain and improve internal controls over financial transactions, inventory, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local and corporate financial and accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support internal audits and external audit processes

6. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and corporate finance, to drive financial results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial concerns, align on strategic objectives, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide financial training and support to site managers and department heads.

 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial controlling, with at least 5 years in product costing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in product costing, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and BOM management.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software (e.g., SAP) and Excel, with the ability to develop complex financial models.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and provide accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and inventory management

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead financial initiatives and process improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for cost optimization.
