Overall Objectives of the Position
The main responsibilities of the PIS process engineer are to provide process design and process technical service to PIS plant as part of on-going productivity, new product startup and commissioning and technical troubleshooting initiatives. Process engineer provides engineering leadership to drive asset performance which includes process engineering, troubleshooting, plant efficiency, process safety, equipment reliability, advanced controls, asset management and productivity project.
Your role:
Safety:
Accountable for creating and maintaining a safe &environmental-friendly operations of Production unit within responsible area including the respect of Chinese regulations and requirements.
Putting forward safety measurements during technical discussion and decision-making.
Able to find unsafe potential on site and take precaution actions to ensure safe production facilities.
Provide technical and safety reviews for Management of Changes and drive process safety compliance as part of engineering reviews. Update P&ID if any change is made.
To help/participate in accident/incident emergency response and support RCA investigations.
Operation:
Execution of POQ production, process validation and guidance of process technology of production.
Compile relevant process file, such as BPR, POQ protocol and report, PV protocol and report and so on.
Lead PIS change control and continuous improvement projects.
Responsible for process management. Strictly monitor and control the process execution and optimize the process parameters to ensure the product quality. Lead process related deviation investigation, find the root cause, draft the report and close CAPA on time.
Support to investigate the root cause of internal/external complaints, prepare the quality corrective report and track the implementation of corrective measures. Statistic and analyzing the process parameters of production.
Follow ISO9001/GMP requirements.
Create and operating procedure in PIS plant, define key process & quality related parameter, offer training to production team and regularly review and update key SOPs by following ISO system and related regulations.
Provide support for capital projects (capacity, efficiency upgrades) as requested by Project Execution Team, Plant Production/Maintenance team.
Who you are:
Bachelor degree or above, chemical engineering or equivalent knowledge of chemical processes.
Minimum 5-8 years working experience, working in a chemical/pharm plant is a plus.
Good safety knowledge and awareness.
Be familiar with office software, such as Words, PPT and Excel.
Good written and oral English.
Clear and effective oral communication skills.
Good problem solving and Self-motivated.
Strong team player with good communication and coordination.
Able to work under stress to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
