Your Role:

Overall job purpose

The Utility and Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and optimization of all utility systems and facility infrastructure within the organization. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, functional, and efficient, while managing utility consumption and costs. The manager will lead a team of technicians and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

Facility Management

Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). 

Develop and implement MMS programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility assets. 

Manage facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively. 

 

Utility Management 

Monitor and optimize the consumption of utilities (electricity, water, gas, etc.) to reduce costs and improve efficiency.  

Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.  

Develop and implement PM, PDM programs to ensure the stability and reliability of utility assets. 

Maintain accurate records of utility usage and costs.  

 

Team Leadership 

Supervise and train facility staff, including technicians, custodians, and contractors. 

Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.  

Stay updated on industry trends and introduce best practices in facility and utility management.

Support the digital blueprint of a factory, involved in the digital transformation related to Facility and Utility systems.

Support GMP and EHS-related audits, responsible for the audit work related to the plant and utilities.

Support the implementation of Global program in site Facility and utility area.

 

Budgeting and Reporting

Prepare and manage the facility and utility budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.  

Track expenses and report on facility and utility performance to senior management.  

Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.  

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. 

 

Emergency Response

Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents (e.g., power outages, equipment failures).  

Act as the primary point of contact during facility emergencies.  

 

Who You Are:

Skills, Performances & Competences required by the position:

Strong leadership and communication skills. 

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  

Proficiency in facility management software and tools. 

Familiar with energy management and sustainability practices.  

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.  

Good English communication skills both in speech and writing

Proficient in Microsoft office software know Low-code Software

Background

Bachelor's Degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) related.

10+ years working experience in Utility and Facility managements; at least 5 years within the GMP Industry, and 3 years in management position.
