Position Overview: The Business Development Manager will leverage their market and operational expertise to foster consultative relationships with customers, identifying and developing new opportunities within the Diagnostics and Regulated Material segments. This role will focus strategically on driving sales in key Diagnostics areas, including Point of Care, Immunoassay, Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical Chemistry, and Hematology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Identification: Identify and target specific segments within the existing product line for potential customers.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement market-specific and account-specific strategies and growth plans.

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential customers in assigned markets.

  • Opportunity Exploration: Seek potential business opportunities by engaging with existing and prospective customers and strategic partners.

  • Market Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of key markets, players, target applications, requirements, trends, and needs, and share this knowledge across the organization.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Sales Account Managers, Regional and Local Marketing teams, and Global Product Management teams to drive DxRM growth.

  • Competitor Analysis: Maintain a thorough understanding of the market and competitor landscape in key areas of DxRM.

  • Customer Needs Anticipation: Anticipate customer needs and offer comprehensive solutions through existing or developable products and services.

  • Pipeline Development: Proactively contact customers/accounts to identify needs, present value-oriented products/offers, and build a pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities to drive DxRM growth.

  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to the organization to guide strategy development, acting as a primary voice of the customer.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven commercial experience in targeted markets as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Application Development Engineer, Marketing, or similar roles.

  • Diagnostics Knowledge: Experience in the Diagnostics Market, including Point of Care, Immunoassay, Molecular Diagnostics, and Hematology.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Motivation: Highly motivated self-starter with a strong drive for success.

  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Strong customer-centric mindset, business acumen, and comfort with cold calling.

  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and persuasion capabilities.

  • Sales Process Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple team members and decision-makers.

  • Track Record: Proven business/sales development track record strongly preferred.

  • Presentation Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop technical product seminars and present to large, diverse audiences.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English is necessary.
