Your role: 
This role is part of the sourcing support unit under MBS organization. You’re accountable to manage the designated Capex Investment sourcing until project hand-over to operation primarily for Japan & other appropriate tasks assigned among Region APAC, with the aim to create value for our businesses and ultimately serve the needs of our customers and patients. Sourcing applies the value drivers of Supply Security, Financial Contribution and Supplier Market Innovation in a flexible and agile way and drive digitalization and operational excellence to support business priorities.

You’re responsible for implementing sourcing strategy to the designated projects and ensure smooth interface/communication with project team and other stakeholders. As associate sourcing manager, you will identify and drive strategic sourcing projects along the entire procurement process, starting from supply market analysis, identifying new and innovative suppliers until negotiations, contract implementation and supplier performance and relationship management. 

This implies the following tasks in close alignment with stakeholders and business strategies but not limited to:

•    Lead sourcing activities for Capex projects including, sourcing strategy set up, supplier qualification, bidding organization and negotiation, project follow-up in terms of quality, cost, delivery and timing, supplier base optimization.
•    Execute the Source to Contract process from Ariba to ensure the competitive bidding and work with EPCM company for project execution. 
•    Implement category sourcing strategies and initiatives, close understanding of business needs & incorporation of global category strategy. 
•    Demand Management to bundle demand and even further shape the demand  
•    Supplier management including onboarding suppliers, segmenting suppliers, leading supplier relationships, managing supplier performance and creating a more collaborative environment. 
•    Contract management covers defining good practice contract terms & conditions, administration and termination of procurement contracts. 

Who you are:

•    Bachelor’s degree or above

•    Fluent Japanese both in speaking & writting
•    More than 5 years working experience, procurement working experience in multinational company related to capex category is preferred. 
•    Good communicator with the ability to manage interests across different levels
•    Good project management skills with ability to work effectively in cross-functional and diverse teams 
•    Professional communication skills along with strong intercultural insights.
•    Structured and reliable working attitude, curiosity to learn new things 
•    Fluent in both writing and speaking of English is must
•    Strong analytical skills with office tools or business intelligent tools is a plus. 
•    Time zone flexibility working within a global environment
•    Resilience & Pressure resistance
•    Good ability to fit into new environment fast and be agile well balance the relationship in terms of organization complexity.
