Your Role:

• Manage and provide leadership to improve capability, engagement & motivations for our self-running warehouse in Shanghai ZJ SiAL Warehouse
• Liaise with other departments including manufacturing site, purchasing, CSR, planning and IE to coordinate warehouse activities
• Smooth and efficient warehouse operation to improve customer satisfaction, operation safety and compliance, continuous improvement.
• Project management including CAPEX and Opex for expanding distribution capability in LS China
• Implementing lean and 6-sigma concept to drive operation excellence

Main Tasks:

Strategy Development & Implementation

• Understand the company’s mission and vision and the distribution’s contribution to them
• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the distribution network with corresponding mid/long-term plans, and lead and support the network’s optimization, particularly for the new China distribution center.
• As the site change leader to roll out corporate strategic initiatives including safety, quality, Operation Excellence, especially for LSPS (Life science production system) in Distribution China
• Developing site operation cost and capital investment projects for next 1-3 years and manage under the budget
• Drive warehouse team organizational & talent strategy implementation, build talent echelon and competency system to align team capabilities with long-term business goals

Operational Management

• He/she will provide leadership and direction to drive high safety/quality/service standard in warehouse operation
• He/She will lead continuous improvement for cost reduction, raising bar for safety & quality, and service improvement.
• Monitor warehouse performance to ensure the smooth inbound, outbound operation and meet site KPI
• Maintain safety, security and comfortable warehouse environment via 6S, “Be-safe behavior “
• Optimize the warehouse space utilization and ensure all warehouse procedures comply with ISO and GDP requirements
• Manage the warehouse budget, schedule expenditures, analyze budget variances and take corrective action
• Ensure SOP meets EHS, Quality and Compliance’s requirements.

Organizational Development, Relationship Management & Team Leadership

• Lead and develop warehouse organization structure, training plan, and talent pipeline to support future development of distribution /ISCO in China and APAC.
• Ensure proper planning and allocation of assigned warehouse resources and tasks
• Lead (+40 people) WH team to improve capability, engagement, motivations etc.
• Staffing planning based on history productivity and tasks forecast
• Liaising with customers and other department (customer excellence, supply chain, Quality management, EHS, etc) to achieve LS /Distribution business /service goals

Who You Are:

• Education:

Bachelor degree or above in logistic, supply chain, Bio-Pharm, Chemical background with CSCP/CLTD is preferred.

• Working Experience:

       10+ year related operation experience including warehouse, transportation, planning

       Proven experience on project management

       Strong people management skills by leading a mid-size team

       ERP (SAP)knowledge and implementation experience

• Technical &Professional Knowledge

       Good leadership, lean six sigma concept  

       Strong problem-solving capability

       Strong communication skills, teamwork, initiative and willing to work under pressure

       Fluent English in spoken and written, familiar with office software (Excel, PPT,etc.)

       Logical reasoning, numerical skills, technical skills
