Your Role:
This position manages an assigned geographic sales area to achieve company sales targets & objectives. It encompasses elements of brand management, advocate development, and budget oversight to ensure successful execution and impact
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and implements strategic business plans to drive the sales and adoption of a portfolio of drugs within a designated group of key accounts or regions.
Executes sales activities, including development of key account strategies, their implementation, and the required coordination of resources.
Networks effectively & builds meaningful relationships with key customers & opinion leaders in own territory and constantly manages their expectations.
Develops and maintains consultative sales relationships within the account’s organization providing value-added solutions.
Increases market expansion & market penetration and monitors performance against planned objectives in own area & takes action to close the gap.
Establishes effective relationships and collaboration with other departments for example: Marketing, Finance, Business Operation to address key business issues and opportunities.
Provides reports & feedback pertaining to trends/opportunities or risk identified in own territory.
Ensures sales tracking in all levels to maintain product availability, forecast shortages and trigger orders.
Attends/or participates in the organization of clinical meetings, seminars, and tradeshows as appropriate.
Ensures timeous completion & updating of all sales/event reports & the related administration.
Recognizes a reportable Adverse Event (AE) and / or drug safety information and ensure that the necessary information is forwarded to Local Patient Safety Merck Healthcare within 24 hours
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in the relevant Sciences (Degree in General Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentist, Biology etc.) is required
- Additional certification in Marketing/ Management or Fiinance is desirable.
- 3 years minimum Sales Representative experience within the pharmaceutical industry is required
- Knowledge of Customers& the Market is essential
- Proven experience in delivering strong results consistently is required
- Data-Driven Mindset, Sales Acumen, and efficient commercial Account planning experience
- Project Management
- Planning & Organisation skills
- Presentation skills & strong Communication skills
- Budgeting and Cost Control
- Understanding of basic marketing concepts such as product life cycle and product positioning, and advertising
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to understand and interpret scientific, technical, and business reports.
