Field Service Engineer – Milli-Q® Water Purification Systems

YOUR ROLE:

We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Instrument Services team in the Netherlands and become the trusted technical expert for customers in your territory. You'll install, maintain, troubleshoot and support advanced Milli-Q® water purification systems that enable scientists and researchers to achieve reliable results. Working independently across the Benelux region while supported by our experienced service organization, you'll diagnose complex technical issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and digital technologies - using digital tools and remote support to maximize first-time-fix performance. You'll prepare thoroughly for every intervention, communicate technical solutions clearly to customers, and complete accurate documentation to ensure compliance and traceability. This is a role where your expertise directly impacts how scientists work, and where you'll have the autonomy to make technical decisions within our quality standards while collaborating with Sales and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification in engineering, electromechanics, electronics, automation, chemistry, laboratory technology, or a related technical field.
  • Have a strong technical mindset with a logical, structured approach to troubleshooting - comfortable analyzing complex problems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Disciplined about following ISO-certified processes and SOPs while finding practical, creative solutions within quality guidelines.
  • Well-organized, manage priorities effectively, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting as a matter of habit.
  • Have solid digital and IT skills, with genuine interest in connected technologies and remote troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently - able to explain technical concepts to customers and collaborate effectively with colleagues and global teams.
  • You're fluent in Dutch and have strong professional English skills for customer and team communication.
  • You hold a valid driving license and are willing to travel across the Benelux region.
