Job Description for Quality Control Manager

Location: Banwol Site

Position: TF Quality Control Manager

Reports To: Banwol Site Director

Your Role:

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our TF Quality Level Up Initiatives at the Banwol site. This role is critical in ensuring consistent product quality, optimizing production effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement within our quality control processes. You will lead a team responsible for various quality control activities across the entire Banwol OS process, from raw materials to canister return.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of advanced Quality Improvement and Process Digitalization initiatives across the entire OS process.

• Oversee all quality control activities for the Banwol TF line, ensuring consistent product quality and optimal production efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with the Sihwa TF and Eumseong TF QC teams to support their quality control efforts.

• Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality issues before they become critical problems.

• Provide real-time quality control expertise and support to the production team.

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.

• Manage and analyze quality control data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Contribute to problem solving associated with laboratory work such as OOT/OOC/OOS investigation.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality control regulations and standards (e.g., customer requirements, company’s standards).

• Conduct audits and investigations of quality deviations.

• Prepare and maintain quality control documentation.

• Stay current on industry best practices in quality control and quality management.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of a strong safety culture within the quality control team.

Who you are:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry or Chemical Engineering) or equivalent experience.

• Experience in quality control within the semiconductor industry is essential. At least 5-7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or quality assurance roles. Advantage for 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control management role.

• Strong understanding of semiconductor materials, fabrication processes, and quality standards is crucial. They should be familiar with industry-specific quality control methodologies and tools.

• Ability to develop and validate test methods and documentation for analytical instrument/work instruction.

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and requirements such as ISO, SEMI, and industry-specific standards like TS 16949 or AS9100.

• Proven experience in leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

• Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma or similar quality improvement methodologies. Preferable if candidate is a certified LSS Green Belt or Black Belt.

• Experience with quality control data analysis and interpretation.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge in analytical techniques, including GC, IC, ICP-MS/OES and FT-IR, TGA, RAMAN.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Proficient with statistical software including Minitab , JMP.

Language

• Fluent in Korean

• Fluent in English
