Your Role: Do you want to help drive a data catalog solution to an enterprise-wide innovative data and analytics platform? 

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Data & AI Organization as a Data Catalog Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, extending, and innovating enterprise-wide data catalog solution, which is treated as a platform product and will evolve into Data Product marketplace. Your work will play a crucial role in delivering consistent customer value. 

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing interfaces to source systems, enhancing the functionality and reach of the data catalog. You will also assist in managing the product lifecycle of the data catalog solution, ensuring alignment with business needs and market trends. 

As a key member of our team, you will lead the development of standards and best practices for the solution, focusing on system performance, security, and user/license management. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive documentation of functional and technical aspects to ensure a robust knowledge base for the solution, supporting AI journey as the foundation for internal AI models and solutions. 

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures throughout the development lifecycle.

Who you are:

Basic/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of strong working experience 
• Must be comfortable to work in Electronic City Location
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field from NIT OR IIT only, Tier 1 Engineer Colleges.

Role Description: 

• You have experience working in an agile project framework. 

• A strong understanding of data catalog development and administration would be appreciated. 

• Must have strong AWS knowledge in managing the analytics platform. 

• You have strong hands-on software development experience, and love to focus on software delivery. 

• Develop data connection agents for various data sources - structured and un-structured - into Palantir Foundry, data catalog, AWS, snowflakes. 

• Candidate must have strong knowledge and hands on experience in Python, Java, or SQL. 

• Candidate must have good understanding on code repositories and code workbooks on Palantir foundry. 

• Strong system administration experience including Windows, Unix/Linux OS installation/hardening/patching, networking, firewalls, load balancers, SSH, mail and DNS 

• Good knowledge of data governance principles and best practices would be appreciated. 

• You have strong communication and collaboration abilities. 

• You are able to work cross-functionally.   

• You are proficient in English.
