SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices using DevOps tools, Create and maintain infrastructure templates to automate provisioning and management of resources.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline operational tasks and system management. Implement configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Version Control: Manage and support version control systems (e.g., Git) for source code and infrastructure configurations. Implement branching and code review workflows.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Implement containerization solutions using Docker.
• Monitoring and Logging: Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, cloudwatch) to ensure system health and performance. Analyze logs and metrics to identify issues and trends.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Responsible for supporting and maintaining multiple users facing High Performance Computing (HPC) applications on On-premises & Cloud and related data processing platforms and services.
• Document system administration and working procedures for application deployment for routine and complex tasks.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years Professional Linux Experience
• 3+ years work experience on DevOps tools & Cloud.
• Must have proficiency on Linux Operating Systems (SLES, RHEL etc).
• Expert in any Cloud Technology (AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Expert in Python Development and Python Scripting and Shell Scripts.
• Expertise in GIT, Docker and Ansible/Puppet.
• Knowledge of databases both RDBMS & no-sql MySQL, MongoDB, aurora, and PostgreSQL in HA deployments.
• Familiarity with on-prem & cloud monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, grafana, CloudWatch etc.
• Sound knowledge on containerization tools like docker.
• Ability to use, and build ways to use, automation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Computer BS/MS or equivalent
