Associate (Flow Chemistry)

Your Role:

  • Responsible for manufacturing or evaluating products according to established protocols, providing technical support to others, and performing operations in support of the group and department.
  • This position supports shift-wise operation with a 6-day work week.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations that meet quality standards.
  • Perform multi-disciplined, established processes, assays and/or unit operations, primarily those requiring a higher level of skill and knowledge.
  • Safely execute operations to meet quality expectations throughout the process.
  • Ensure adequate training to perform tasks/assignments; clean up equipment and working areas during and after operations.
  • Complete required volume of work to achieve group/departmental goals and meet deadlines.
  • Implement kaizens and support ISO, EHS, internal and external regulatory audits.
  • Maintain 6S in the manufacturing area; report and record deviations observed during activities.
  • Support AM/PM activities and contribute to lab support functions (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal).
  • Communicate operation status and escalate deviations to a supervisor; provide complete and accurate records per quality guidelines.
  • Ensure log books are filled out as required by current procedures; interact with other departments as needed, including participation in quality audits.
  • Independently perform procedures; identify problems and limitations of analysis; perform routine troubleshooting.
  • Review final assays and procedures; interface with external customers as needed.
  • In compliance with change control procedures, drive process improvements through scientific knowledge and experience.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement; participate in process improvements under supervisor or Scientist guidance.
  • Take action to resolve unsafe conditions; develop improvement ideas, document changes, and review impact.
  • Train personnel and act as a technical consultant as needed.
  • Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates; take lead in CAPA and RCA for incidents.
  • Safe handling of solvent distillation and solvent transfer.

Physical Attributes

  • May require wearing protective gear (e.g., respirators, chemical protective clothing) and working in protective environments for extended periods.
  • Involves occasional lifting of drums, movement of gas cylinders, and related activities.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Shift-based operations; 6-day work week (3 Shift Operation).
  • Location- Bangalore Jigani

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of independent industrial experience, preferably in gas production and cylinder filling industries.
  • Experience with SCADA operations and shift activities.
  • Knowledge of handling hazardous gases; laboratory and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality standards; familiarity with laboratory instruments and production equipment.
  • Proficiency with analytical techniques and equipment; safe chemical handling methods.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; computer, mechanical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.
