Business Analyst and Data Steward

Analyze and optimize R&D functional processes, implementing improvements within systems.
Gather information from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Design and implement workflows, including business process analyses and data integration from external sources.
Collaborate with the System Owner on solution design and create functional specifications.
Develop user training guides for system operation.
Ensure systems/platforms meet functional requirements by accurately translating needs into technical specifications.
Enhance process efficiency by establishing a strong functional and technical foundation for auxiliary technology.
Process business support requests from end-users and assist in managing deviations, performing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
Provide second-level application support for end-users through a ticketing system.
Manage data on behalf of Process and Data Leads, offering technical support when required.
Oversee data management and administration tasks, including granting and revoking access to Data Users based on Process Owner approval.
Coordinate technical access to defined data sets and periodically review access rights to ensure compliance with approval protocols.

 

Who you are:

Education

  • Basic degree in a scientific field (e.g. computer science, engineering, natural sciences, pharmacy, and/or business administration) or related work experience in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent document and/or data management background.
  • Trained in technology project management methods and standards
  • Sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical\Healthcare market

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as Business Analyst or a comparable role, in the area of Regulatory Information Management Systems.
  • Sound understanding of the Regulatory Domain.
  • Strong background and interest in good data management aspects.
  • Proven track record in business requirement development.
  • Good understanding of Computer System Validation and GxP requirements, in the area of Regulatory Information Management Systems.
  • Previous experience with Veeva Vault RIM is appreciated.
  • Good knowledge on xEVMPD and IDMP.
  • Pro-active working stile with the ability to lead projects.
  • A trouble shooting mindset and problem solving mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex topics.
  • Critical Thinking attitude with the ability to conduct root cause analyses.
  • Good experience in handling system administration and business support, preferably for IT systems used in Regulatory Affairs
  • Solid experience in system lifecycle management
  • Demonstrable experience with running software vendors and external service providers
