Your Role:

  • Lead a dynamic team of engineers & scientists that ensures robust operation of clinical and commercial-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing using our best-in-class products, technologies and processing systems.
  • Work closely with our clients’ technical teams, providing consultative and hands-on guidance for batch and integrated processes, to address key current and future needs within the industry through sound science and engineering. 
  • Lead projects directly as well as empower your team to deliver successfully on their own.  Contribute strongly in their technical and professional development
  • M LAB Management - Responsible for M Lab Strategy implementation, smooth operation and cadence of M Lab project activities, health and safety compliance.  Actively support key activities including M Lab tours, product demonstrations, event organization, application studies and training. Ensure M Lab CAPEX budget is clearly identified in conjunction with key stakeholders and utilized within the calendar year

Who You Are:

  • B.S.,M.S. or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related Engineering and science discipline
  • 12 years’ experience or more in biopharmaceutical technical roles in manufacturing, pilot, and/or lab scale environments. Demonstrated leadership experience in a commercial environment is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of engineering and science fundamentals coupled with a hands-on, practical sensibility of engineering design
  • Strong experience in the application of scaling & implementation requirements for biopharmaceutical processes
  • Extensive experience in clear & concise communication to diverse audiences in both written and oral formats
  • Essential skills: strategic thinking, integrated mindset, customer centricity

Preferred

  • Technical mastery of one or more Bioprocess applications (process requirements, best practices, and industry standards)
  • Functional knowledge & experience in the use of process controls (PLC, PCS, etc.), biopharma automation procedures and FDA data integrity guidelines 
  • Experience with mass balance, process flow diagrams, and P&ID’s 
  • Demonstrated leadership & experience in managing projects with multiple workstreams and diverse stakeholder groups 
  • People management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a commercial environment is preferred
