About the team: We are the Digital Workplace team within the Company's IT organization, responsible for delivering Messaging and collaboration services, Client Computing Services, Enterprise Mobile device management and  custom Digital Workplace products. Our team of approximately 150 professionals is spread across India, Germany, and the USA, working collaboratively to provide innovative solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency. 

 

About the role: The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the Product Owner for our custom digital workplace products, primarily revolving around Microsoft O365, managing the product backlog and working closely with the development team to ensure successful delivery. Additionally, the individual will take on Product Management tasks such as contributing to product vision, strategy and roadmap. Additionally, the individual will play a key role in managing strategic projects like the rollout of M365 Copilot, ensuring successful implementation and adoption. This hybrid role requires someone with a strong understanding of Agile practices, the ability to think strategically, excellent organizational skills and most importantly a passion for customer experience management and driving innovation

 

Your Role:

  • Product Ownership:

    • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog in alignment with strategic goals and user needs.
    • Write clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
    • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring continuous communication and clarity on priorities.
    • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the development team understands the scope and objectives.
  • Product Management:

    • Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, in alignment with Digital workplace leadership team
    • Gather user feedback and collaborate with stakeholders to influence product direction and new feature development.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Management (as needed):

    • Lead project planning sessions, define project scope and objectives, and manage timelines and deliverables.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
    • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely communication of any changes to stakeholders.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

 

Who you are:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in product ownership, with exposure to product and project management.
  • A strong grasp of the Microsoft O365 product suite, along with expertise in IT infrastructure areas like Windows Server, database etc. would be a huge plus 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple products, initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
  • Ability to balance tactical day-to-day tasks with strategic thinking and planning.
