Job Title - Planning Specialist

Job Location - Bangalore (Peenya)

 

Purpose of the Role

 

Supply chain planning specialist will be responsible for supply and demand planning, ensuring material availability, optimum inventory, planning performance metrics. The role will lead S&OP process, demand and supply planning, inventory management, reporting and analytics, and cross functional engagement for speed in decision making and agile supply chain. Will partner with global supply chain on technology and best practice implementation. 

 

 

Key Performance Indicators

 

  • Direct contribution to Supply Chain metric improvements inline or above target, such as Fill Rate, OTIF, Backorder, Inventory holding, material master management, demand forecast accuracy
  • Standardization of technology, process, team knowledge
  • Projects successfully delivered within agreed timelines

Candidate’s Profile

Education/Professional Experience

  • Must have 5-10years of Supply Chain experience in demand and supply planning
  • Preferably MBA in Supply Chain, APICS and Six sigma certification
  • Strong leadership skills - particularly skills in leading through influence.
  • Knowledge of SAP MRP, APO, and other planning and reporting platforms
  • Project Management skills preferred with ability to drive projects with global teams
  • Excellent communication skills to all levels in the business. Proactive, driven and self-starter
  • Analytical skills, including ability to work with large data sets using appropriate tools including Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense and advanced Excel.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Plan and maintain daily supply chain operations such as managing orders and tracking supply, reviewing inventory, maintaining master data, tracking supply failures, resolving the issue.
  • Lead S&OP process, review supply, discuss and capture demand signals in daman planning process, review and partner with stakeholders to minimize variance in demand and supply.    
  • Maintain and review planning dashboards to facilitate visibility, speed in decision making, issue resolution, preventive action.
  • Utilize SAP and other planning tools to ensure correct flow of demand and supply signals through the whole value stream and conduct technology led supply planning
  • Develop and implement process improvements using Six Sigma and kaizen
  • Ensure regular monitoring and reporting of supply performance scorecard
  • Analyse and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Lead functional process improvement projects using six sigma
  • Partner with global supply chain teams and support technology implementation
  • Liaise with functional stakeholders to mitigate supply risk and material availability
  • Own KPIs such as OTIF, Fill Rate, Backorder, inventory, TOCT, and technology usage

Internally:         Supply Chain Head India, Life Science team members, Regulatory, HR, Finance, Commercial & Marketing, Distribution, Internal supply sites and other relevant company employees and Global team members in Company's Interco Subsidiaries like MDA, FRW, EMD, MWK, SND, SLD, APAC SCM and similar Data Analysts in APAC or Global
