As the Senior Expert for the SAP LE domain, you are entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for Delivery, Warehouse, and Transport operations, ensuring the provision of cutting-edge solutions and services. This role entails implementing system enhancements following established processes to meet customer needs. You will collaborate closely with our business-facing organization to strategize, plan, execute, and oversee projects and individual Change Requests, leveraging technical expertise from external partners.
A thorough knowledge of SAP LE and related modules, combined with a strong grasp of O2C (Order to Cash) business processes integrated with ERP systems, is essential. You will consult with business partners to devise and implement solutions that are both viable and sustainable, aligning with customer requirements.
A key aspect of this role includes the Service Performance Monitoring of Application Managed Services provided by our strategic partners to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs. This encompasses conducting periodic reviews and managing the handover of new services effectively.
Within our company, SAP LE is integral to all relevant ERP systems, centralizing the creation, modification, and distribution, or consolidation of master data throughout the enterprise system landscape. Your involvement in integrating these components and participating in architectural design decisions is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design and Delivery: Guarantee customer satisfaction by delivering well-designed solutions, managing application lifecycles, and monitoring service performance, while upholding internal (process, security) and external (GxP, GDPR, license) compliance standards.
- Operational Vendor Management & Reporting: Oversee vendor service performance, devise necessary improvement plans based on identified gaps or requirements, and ensure the timely release of performance reports and annual service reviews.
- Incident Management: Lead the resolution of significant or complex incidents, including related crisis management as needed. Facilitate effective communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Problem Management: Direct the strategic planning and prioritization for ticket resolution and automation. Actively propose solutions and improvement plans to management.
- Change and Release Management: Document the current and target application architecture (including CMDB). Implement lifecycle management plans for applications within scope and ensure change management processes align with relevant SOPs. Manage the application portfolio to ensure timely and accurate production releases.
- Project Delivery: Lead the technical design of applications/solutions within the portfolio. Provide both technical services and functional advice on business application implementations. Offer ongoing functional/technical support to project teams and contribute to the development of standards and guidelines.
Who You Are:
Education/Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences and/or Business Administration.
- At least 10 years of experience in software or application services, with a minimum of 5 years in an international setting.
Languages
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of an additional language (German, Spanish, or Portuguese) is beneficial.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Robust communication skills, both written and oral.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to make informed, challenging decisions independently.
- Proven integration skills within SAP LE functionalities.
- Expert knowledge in Warehouse Management, Transport Management, EDI, IDocs, and Output Determination.
- Strong understanding of adjacent modules (SD, MM-PUR, MM-IM, FI, CO, GTS).
- Proficient in ABAP – development, debugging, and related technical tasks.
- Basic knowledge in Archiving.
