Your Role:

We are on a mission to empower data scientists and developers by building a cutting-edge, internal Application Hosting Service. This custom platform is designed to streamline the creation and deployment of enterprise-grade web and analytics applications, enabling rapid and scalable solutions that drive data-driven decisions across the company. 

We are seeking a curious and driven Software Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and an "automate everything" mindset. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure and features of this pivotal service. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by enhancing the productivity of our technical community and accelerating the delivery of data-powered insights that can ultimately improve patient lives.

• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and reliable internal application hosting platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists and developers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and platform features.
• Build and enhance the platform's capabilities using a modern tech stack, including Javascript/Typescript and Python.
• Leverage AWS services to architect and implement robust solutions for networking, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the high availability and performance of hosted applications.
• Champion and implement CI/CD best practices to create a seamless and automated deployment experience for our users.
• Drive a culture of automation to minimize manual intervention and improve the efficiency of our operations.
• Actively participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge sharing to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in software development with a strong command of Javascript/Typescript.
• Demonstrated proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Next.js. Solid understanding of Python for back-end development or scripting.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries in Python, such as Pandas, Polars, or PySpark. Strong background in Linux environments and proficiency with shell scripting.
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Azure Devops, GitHub, GitLab).
• An intense problem-solving aptitude with a demonstrated ability to automate complex processes.
