Job Summary:
Are you a scientist with a passion for communication? We’re looking for a skilled scientific writer with expertise in chemical synthesis to create compelling, accurate content that bridges science and marketing. This role involves translating complex chemical concepts into engaging materials for researchers while ensuring clarity and precision.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in organic, inorganic, and materials chemistry, along with expertise in analytical techniques, automation, AI-driven retrosynthesis, flow chemistry, green chemistry, and emerging technologies. Your role:

  • Shape industry thought leadership by curating, refining, and elevating technical articles and application notes in chemistry, delivering content that educates, inspires, and resonates with our customers.
  • Enhance digital reach and accessibility by auditing and optimizing static webpage content, including image alt texts, to ensure scientific accuracy, brand consistency, and SEO performance.
  • Drive seamless user experience by auditing and optimizing website content in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to ensure proper formatting, metadata tagging, and intuitive content structure.
  • Create compelling chemistry marketing content that aligns with business needs, captivates audiences, and reinforces our brand’s scientific authority
  • Collaborate with product managers, R&D teams, and scientists to ensure content is scientifically accurate, cutting-edge, and strategically aligned with our chemistry franchise. Identify key knowledge gaps and drive the development of impactful new content.
  • Transform complex science into compelling visuals – design high-quality illustrations, images, charts, and graphs that brin chemical synthesis, materials science, and biochemistry topics to life.
  • Work across global, cross-functional teams to ensure all content meets business goals, industry standards, and marketing objectives while maintaining scientific integrity.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize; Maintain a structured content portfolio, monitor performance, and refine strategies to maximize engagement and impact.

 

Who you are:

Minimum requirements:

  • Master’s degree in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related chemistry field.
  • Scientific writing & publication experience, having authored or co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles, protocols, technical reports, whitepapers, etc.
  • Hands-on laboratory research experience in chemical synthesis.
  • Industry or cross-disciplinary collaboration in an academic, pharmaceutical, materials science, or chemical manufacturing setting.

 

Preferred requirements:

  • Proficiency in scientific visualization tools (ChemDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience in creating Marketing communication content like EDMs and social media posts is a plus
  • Digital marketing skills in SEO, content strategy, web analytics
