Your Role :

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the GES VASI Hub Leader, shaping and translating vision into high-impact initiatives.
  • Align cross-functional priorities across hub pillars to ensure coherence, cadence, and timely realization of strategic outcomes.
  • Lead design and execution of transformative programs that elevate hub performance, stakeholder value, and Merck-wide reputation.
  • Strategic Agenda and Prioritization
    • Define and steward the long-term strategic agenda for the GES VASI Hub, ensuring clarity of objectives, outcomes, and success metrics.
  • Transformation Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional transformation programs (digitalization, process improvement, organization design) with measurable impact.
    • Develop and drive change management strategies that enable rapid adoption and sustainable benefits.
  • Governance, Cadence, and Decision Architecture
    • Design and maintain a governance framework that ensures strategic alignment, issue resolution at the senior level, and progress toward milestones.
    • Prepare executive reviews, dashboards, and narrative briefings for Merck leadership.
  • Stakeholder Strategy and Engagement
    • Build and sustain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across functions, regions, and external partners.
    • Orchestrate high-impact stakeholder experiences, including visits and executive engagements, to accelerate value realization.

    • Oversight concise, executive-ready communications and presentations that articulate hub strategy, progress, and value.
    • Elevate the GES VASI Hub brand within Merck-wide forums through strategic nominations and storytelling.
  • Learning, Talent, and Leadership Development
    • Oversee the strategic design of learning programs, leadership development, onboarding, and succession planning aligned to hub priorities.
    • Champion a culture of continuous learning and leadership capability building.
  • Performance and Value Realization
    • Define and track value realization metrics for strategic initiatives; synthesize insights to inform portfolio decisions.
    • Drive accountability for outcomes, benefits realization, and risk management at the portfolio level.
  • Thought Leadership and Innovation
    • Foster strategic thinking, scenario planning, and innovative problem solving.
    • Identify and incubate new value-adding concepts and partnerships aligned with Merck’s priorities.
      • Proven track record of leading cross-functional, multi-regional initiatives with tangible business impact.
      • Deep experience in governance, strategic communications, and executive stakeholder management.
      • Strong background in change management, digital transformation, and scaling strategic initiatives.
      • Exceptional communication, influence, and storytelling skills; ability to engage C-suite audiences.
