Your role:
Responsible for providing support for Windows Servers and VMware infrastructure on a global scale.
Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows-based servers within the organization to ensure optimal performance and security.
Deliver hands-on technical support by managing tasks such as user account management, system updates, data backups, network connectivity, and resolving technical issues related to the Windows server environment.
Active Directory and Group Policy Administration: Oversee Active Directory management, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
Security and Patch Management: Implement and maintain appropriate security measures to ensure server security. Apply security patches, updates, and service packs promptly.
Regularly monitor server performance metrics, including CPU usage, memory utilization, disk space, and more, to detect potential issues and enhance system performance.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Windows servers, performing regular backups to ensure the integrity and availability of server data.
Create and maintain documentation related to processes, wikis, and knowledge-based articles.
Basic experience with PowerShell for automating repetitive tasks.
 
Who you are:
Over 3 years of experience in an IT support role.
Proficient in server administration, patch management, and OS-specific debugging tools, with SolarWinds Patch Management being a plus.
Solid understanding of server technologies, including Active Directory Services, WSUS, DNS, and performance monitoring tools.
Extensive experience in operational support utilizing virtualization products like VMware vSphere.
Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a good understanding of ITIL processes and tools.
