Job Title – Warehouse Manager

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate receipts, storage, and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role involves interaction with Supplier/Service providers, Purchase, Planners, Production, Engineering, Quality & finance.

Key Responsibilities –

1. Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receipt, storage, picking, packing and shipment of goods.
2. Inventory Management: Implement and maintain inventory management system to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory with stock control and reconciliation. Implement and maintain control procedures to ensure accurate and damage-free receipt, storage, issue and shipment of goods. Implement and maintain warehouse layout and processes to optimize efficiency.
3. Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
4. Safety and Security: Promote a positive, safe and secure working environment, adhering to health, hygiene and safety regulations and maintaining a high level of security for goods and equipment.
5. Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate and manage the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Where required ensure proper packing of goods for shipment. Ensure proper documentation.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage warehouse budgets and costs, identifying area for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Ensure all business activities conducted personally comply with the Indian legal requirements and the highest environmental and ethical business standards as defined by the organization. Drive and facilitate audits.
8. Continuous improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:            -

• University Degree (Science/Commerce/Engineering)
• Certificate in Warehouse/Supply chain Management and APICS preferred.

Experience:         

• 10-15 years’ experience in managing warehouse with minimum 5-6 team members.
• 2-5 years’ experience in SAP transactional activities
• Familiar with Customs bonded warehouse operation and requirements.

Skills:                   

• Knowledge of work processes & Quality Management system (ISO)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands on experience in MS Excel & Power point
• Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to work on multiple activities and projects in an organized and timely manner. Experience in pro-actively driving improvement initiatives and finding best-practice solutions.
• Customer oriented and have a good understanding of business requirements with strong  determination and self-motivation.
• Knowledge of 6S, Safe Logistics, OHSAS standard and waste reduction.
