Your Role

As Head of Communications for Brazil, you are working in an international and cross-functional environment in the field of external (media) relations, internal communication and social media. You will have the opportunity to shape and drive Company’s reputation footprint in Brazil as well as execute global communication strategy to drive and enable the business. In this position, your primary responsibility will be within the Healthcare business of the Company and partially regional and corporate communication activities. 

You will serve as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to the General Manager (GM) of the Healthcare business in Brazil, and as a member of the Country Council and Healthcare Country Leadership Team (CLT), providing counsel on reputation related matters and lead implementation of communication activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and manage Corporate and Healthcare communications in Brazil to preserve and build the company’s reputation.
  • Create, localize, and execute global communication and selected brand strategies, including non‑commercial communications for key brands and launches.
  • Nurture strong relationships with healthcare and general media, the public, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the country liaison with Regional and Global Communications (e.g., Media Relations, News & Reputation, Franchise Communications, Internal Communications, social media).
  • Lead integrated, cross‑channel communication programs and collaborate across boundaries to orchestrate efforts.
  • Ensure communications impact is measured and aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive and sustain cultural change, employee engagement, and company transformation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the country communications team; define organization, roles, responsibilities and development plans.
  • Oversee budget and manage PR/communications agencies, including coordination and selection.
  • Protect company reputation through proactive issues management and effective crisis communications (prevention and protection)

 

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in communications in corporate and/or agency environments.
  • Substantial Healthcare communications and Product PR experience (internal/external), including channel and digital channel management.
  • Strong media relations across general and healthcare media; Rx launch experience viewed favorably.
  • Proven issues and crisis communication expertise (prevention and protection).
  • Excellent Portuguese and strong English, Spanish skills are a plus; exceptional writing, editing, copywriting, and proofreading.
  • Leadership and Management: Skills in management and leadership, with the ability to lead teams and effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Communication Strategies: Experience in developing results-driven communication strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong tactical and analytical skills, focusing on the impact of initiatives and business understanding.
