As part of the Process Solutions commercial organization, you are part of the Customer Applications (CA) team responsible for Integrated Systems (IS).
• As part of this team, you will leverage your expertise and strategic insights in the field of IS to effectively collaborate with commercial partners and drive sales.
• You will partner with commercial and other CA teams to develop comprehensive initiatives for integrated solutions in the specified region.
• You will assist Regional Strategy Execution (RSE), Strategy, Field Marketing (FM) and Commercial team members to plan, coordinate and execute regional Plan of Action (POA) for IS.
• Your understanding of customers, current industry drivers and trends, together with an appreciation of competition dynamics will be used to effectively identify strategic opportunities to gain market share and grow the business.
Collaborate with sales in pursuing new business opportunities, focusing on commercial business opportunities for pre-Sales projects incorporating IS products & capabilities.
• Present Merck expertise to customers through both face-to-face and virtual interactions.
• Develop and implement regional goals for multi-use hardware with applicable expendable sales, through understanding of specific business dynamics related to strategic customers/projects.
• Prepare and/or validate the information required for prioritization of customer projects.
• Demonstrate consultancy with a high-level of expertise in IS.
• Collaborate seamlessly with sales teams to prospect, qualify, pursue, propose, negotiate and close customer opportunities, as needed and with focus on larger, complex opportunities.
• Drive the commercial teams to identify and nurture opportunities, focusing on Competitive Conversion (CoCo), New Product Introductions (NPI), Product Adoption (PA) and Application Based Solutions (ABS).
• Bring customer & commercial feedback back to leadership, business & strategy teams to share best practices and identify potential gaps.
• Act as an ambassador for ONE PS mindset supporting products beyond IS scope and covering PS portfolio when appropriate

Ensure successful brand awareness and marketing of Merck products for Pharma/Biotech in the designated territory.
• Ensure successful introduction of new products and participate in programs reinforcing product positioning and selling strategies.
• Identify customer needs, assess potential, and apply technical expertise to ensure optimal use of technology within the applicable regulatory environment.
• Maintain technical excellence in IS and complementary product portfolios, such as Bio4C digital and automation offerings and Biocontinuum. Participate in and contribute to upskilling activities such as Seminar Series and other Technology Team Programs.
• Monitor and report competitor activities and emergent customer needs and use this information to influence Merck’s product development strategy.
• Understand and track changes in local market dynamics and use them to leverage business strategies by sharing with relevant stakeholders (CA / business).
• Build relationships and networks with industry decision makers and opinion leaders to maintain and grow Merck’s IS market & mind share.

 

Additional requirements include:

• Must be eligible to work in either Brazil or Argentina

• Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English

• Able to travel up to 80% including travel outside of Brazil
