Market Access

The Market Access Manager (all genders) is responsible for achieving optimal pricing, reimbursement, and other access conditions in the country for all Merck in-line and future pipeline products, and related devices.

The Market Access Manager (all genders) provides strategic leadership to all payer related matters.

Leads and integrates the payer point of view in all local business processes and decision-making committees, contributing to the commercial strategy and leading the development and implementation of the MAP strategy.

Achieves and maintains pricing, reimbursement, and other access conditions in the country on target and on strategy

Assures compliance with Merck Pricing Governance in the Country

Assures Merck strategic partnerships, and leads negotiations with key public and institutional payers at country level

Supports the development of National Government Affairs & Policy strategies and plans for MAP topics

Up-to-date information about critical policy developments affecting Market Access and Pricing in the country and prioritization of those that require strategic attention by GAP

Keeps necessary level of knowledge and understanding of Healthcare legislation, being responsible to inform local management about all relevant updates in the area

Interacts and keeps necessary level of relationship with local authorities relevant for Healthcare, local organisations and key opinion leaders, being important factor for market access of Healthcare products in compliance with local legislation and corporate best practices and ethical code
Who you are:

Requires substantial professional experience (approximately 6-8 years as a guide).

Requires very senior knowledge and experience in own discipline and beyond to supplement formal knowledge in order to apply principles and concepts of own discipline in resolving issues as they arrive.

Strong communication skills to effectively engage with country leadership team and regional/global stakeholders across diverse time zones and topics

Strong leadership skills and ability to address critical and challenging situations with senior stakeholders e.g., regional leadership, general managers, BU heads etc.

Ability to work independently with cross-cultural project management skills

Business acumen and ability to identify gaps and connect the dots

Facilitation, presentation, and strong communication-convincing skills
