Being a trusted partner and talent hub, Manila Business Services (MBS) aims to create solutions, integrate processes cost-competitively and service-oriented.

 

As part of MBS Hub Strategy, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis Operations will aim to provide smooth and efficient Financial Planning & Analysis solutions for the business, steering performance and managing service in a fast, high-quality, and efficient manner.
Financial Planning & Analysis Operations may include Controlling Solutions, Transfer pricing, Investor Relationships, Value Chain controlling, Enabling Functions Controlling, Group financial reporting and Financial Master Data.

 

How you will contribute:
 

Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive Financial Planning & Analysis Operations strategy in the Hub aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the operations team, driving continuous improvement, innovation, data integrity, best practices, and cost efficiency of the operations. Position Financial Planning & Analysis Operations as a trusted partner, manage stakeholders efficiently.

 

Governance
Create efficient organizational structure focusing on core skills for better and faster decision-making, operations, and improvement. Maintain and continuously improve the span of control. Understand alignment need within MBS (e.g., Functional Solution, CAO) and outside MBS (e.g., Enabling Functions).

 

Performance
Build performance transparency and steer service delivery of the Financial Planning & Analysis Operations based on data, reaching agreed KPIs and productivity targets. Understand the business need and deliver service based on the requirement. Establish sustainable Daily management, Problem solving and Performance management process. Drive performance improvements in the Hub and cross functionally. Ensure adherence to the SOPs, policies etc. and improve quality and compliance of the delivered service. Drive quality, user experience and effectiveness across the organization E2E by working with relevant business stakeholders.

 

Process
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions, optimize end-to-end operation.

 

Capability & Competence
Create a talent hub, understand the upskilling need, develop teams to be true solution partner, develop learning journeys for SMEs in operations, drive best practice sharing, knowledge sharing.

 

People & Culture
Effectively communicate company’s goals, strategies, and performance targets to the operational teams. Be a role model driving continuous improvement mindset and High Impact Culture. Provide environment for the innovation, curiosity, and learning.

 

Strategic impact:
• Guide the team to leverage the power of technology and LEAN management to achieve efficiency and effectiveness goals.
• Contribute to the standardization of the Financial Planning & Analysis process from a global view.
Build up proper interface and strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

 

This role needs to manage a team sized up to 100 FTEs with direct reports based in the Hub. Main responsibilities shall include recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, offering feedback, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Furthermore:
• Employee Development and Growth: identifying opportunities for employee growth and development, creating training programs, mentorship, and providing resources for skill enhancement.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): creating and implementing strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Wellness and Work-Life Balance: Taking care of employees' well-being, promoting work-life balance, and providing resources for managing stress and mental health.
Communication and Engagement: Keeping employees informed, engaged, and motivated.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, CPA license is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and Controlling.
  • A minimum of 3 years of people management experience is required
  • A solid understanding of Accounting, Finance, Controlling processes is required.
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and a strong business sense
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English, knowledge of other European language is a plus.
  • Effective time management, stakeholder management, organizational skills and sense of risk management
  • Experience in a shared service environment area is a strong plus.
  • Business-fluent English skills is a must
