Your Role

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the asset accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of fixed asset transactions.
  • Support the management of the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposal.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in all asset accounting activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather data and insights for asset performance reporting and analysis.
  • Help develop and implement best practices for fixed asset management to improve process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a high-performance culture and engagement.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal and external auditors during fixed asset audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with audit recommendations and resolving audit findings.
  • Ensure Daily Management is performed to keep track of deliverables and KPIs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the asset accounting team and support initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the asset accounting team and other departments on relevant projects.

 

Who You Are

  • Education: Academic degree in relevant discipline – preferably Accounting / Finance.
  • Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent accounting license is a nice to have but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role within a shared service or global business services environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in fixed asset management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is essential.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and international accounting standards related to fixed assets (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to various stakeholders.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working in a global environment with an understanding of different regional practices and regulations.
  • Work Environment: Willingness to work at BGC, Taguig, during mid shifts or night shifts. Shifts change due to MEC.
