Your Role:

A Vendor Master Data Specialist supports complex day to day vendor master data transactions in accordance to the service level agreement. They support established business data standards and procedures while consistently seeking to develop a trusting relationship and working rapport with various Buy & Pay teams in ensuring accuracy of Supplier information and promoting effective and efficient data cleansing, conversion and management. This individual has high accountability for data integrity and accuracy.

  • Verify the validity of transactions and attachments for compliance with company policies, operational reporting standards and management requirements
  • Respond to low to medium complexity requests and queries in a timely manner and escalating issues as they arise
  • Monitor, analyze and resolve of outstanding supplier accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Perform vendor reconciliation and resolution
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams that includes gathering of information and answering of queries/email from different teams
  • Evaluate data supplied – inquire or investigate accuracy of data that is provided
  • Work with customers, suppliers and vendor master data objects, as well as other business functions and their associated data requirements.
  • Manage business data analytics and reporting effectively.
  • Understand the basic logic behind various reporting tools and systems to a specific need
  • Solve complex problems based on analytical thoughts, perform sound investigation and complex judgement which require in-depth knowledge and experience in own job discipline and knowledge of related disciplines.
  • May deal with various business situations of low risks and has the ability to recognize opportunities within and outside the team
  • Manage the review, development and implementation of process improvements or amendments within key areas
  • Participate in and perform special tasks and projects that may be assigned

 

Who You Are:

 

  • A graduate background with professional experience. Non-graduate jobholders require a substantial amount of professional experience and additional qualifications that also provide exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
  • Has at least 6 years Vendor Master Data experience and knowledge, preferably from Shared service Center or BPO environment
  • Requires substantial knowledge of underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based.
  • Strong background and experience working with SAP, Ariba and other ERP systems
  • Can support the team in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Is effective in a variety of communication settings: one-in-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
  • Able to perform various coordination that includes gathering of information and answering of queries/email.
  • Participated in and performed special/Adhoc tasks and projects.
  • (For internal transfer) an increase in the scope of task i.e. multiple countries, legal entities and ERPs handled.
