Your Role:

We are seeking a highly innovative, motivated, and engaging technical Scientific Sales specialist to join Scientific Sales team and support the development of our analytical chemistry solutions. This Sales specialist position will focus on end user customer in development and its main goal will be to develop our sales on that specific portfolio, to identify and convert large opportunities which impact our revenue. These activities will define us role as a key scientific and innovative partner in all segments (academia, biotech, pharma, industrial & testing as well as diagnostic customers), especially in the R&D & QC laboratories. This role will be responsible for achieving defined financial targets at specific accounts as well as different KPIs (SFDC opportunity pipeline, customer visits, seminar realization).

 

The position reports to the Head of Scientific Sales Specialist DACH, North & EE for analytical chemistry and is field-based with regular travel.

 

  • Highly developed technical / scientific skills matched with an acute intuition for business, sales-focused & impactful approach
  • Ability to engage and interact with customers, with end users, lab managers, and department heads
  • Consultative selling skills to position our innovations, identify large opportunities and convert them
  • Capability to develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline in line with sales target
  • Understand the customers pain points, market trends, identify areas of potential growth to generate and replicate large opportunities successfully
  • Ability to partner with internal collaborators Franchise/PM to address specific customer needs
  • Management of multiple problems simultaneously with a high degree of independence
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and to ensure a smooth collaboration across services (Account management, field marketing, product management, technical service, customer service, etc) & regular feedback (i.e. market trend insight exchange with the franchises)
  • Strong team spirit

 

Who You Are:

Qualifications:

  • Engineer, MS with 5+ years with a strong knowledge of the analytical chemistry portfolio offering including top sellers & innovations
  • Proven sales track record and evidence of sales management
  • Proven track record of networking activities
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Ability to identify & address priorities, major roadblock and elevation of concrete business cases

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in the life sciences or engineering, PhD preferred, ideally with 5y+ experience in sales
  • Strong background and understanding of R&D/QC in various segments (industry, pharma, biotech, academia)
