Applications are invited for the role of Incoming Quality Technician
The Role
Based in the offsite Warehouse and reporting to the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, the Incoming Quality Technician will be responsible for the quality of incoming materials.
Duties include
• Performing Inspection and Release activities for incoming materials.
• Liaising with suppliers and department personnel to obtain information and resolve issues
• Controlling and managing Non-conforming material
• Supporting the Quality Engineer in problem solving material, process and product issues as they arise and implementing corrective actions in a timely manner
• Maintaining and updating company quality documentation and reports, including Purchase Specification documents, Supplier documentation.
• Assisting the QA Group in establishing, implementing and maintaining the Quality System.
• Supporting the warehouse group with quality related activities.
• Supporting the quality management system to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant product specifications.
• Promoting compliance excellence within the company to customer requirements and applicable regulations: ISO9001, ISO13485.
• Continually seeking to drive improvements in product and process quality.
• Ensuring relevant Quality KPI’s are attained and scorecards updated/maintained
• Supporting Internal, Customer & Regulatory audits
• Assisting in the implementation of Corrective Actions for issues where applicable
• Performing other related quality duties as required by the Quality Engineer
Who You Are
• Degree in a Science related discipline [Degree and/ or QTech experience desired]
• Previous quality experience in a regulated environment desired
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Team player who can also work on their own initiative
• Good attention to detail
• Good understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
• Full driving licence required
