Working in the Distribution department, you will be responsible for logistics/distribution activities for flows into and out of the Dublin warehouse (3PL) and storage management. You will interface with internal & external customers, the logistics service provider, and transportation providers.

 

 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manage the logistics service provider's activities and ensure execution by logistics and transportation service providers, in line with established contracts, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in the correct format, and that they are received, checked, and stored in accordance with quality regulations.

• Manage upstream logistics activities for the various incoming flows, management of incoming discrepancies, ensuring proper monitoring and accuracy of inventory, proactive management and communication of contingencies, etc.

• Manage outbound shipment to customers, ensuring proper monitor and accuracy of same.

• Collaborate proactively with internal clients (Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, shipping sites, quality, internal logistics, customer excellence, commercial, customers etc).

• Ensure that the computerised status of products is aligned with the actual status by tracking, processing, and analysing inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Ensure that the IT status of products stored at the Distribution Center is aligned with their actual status.

• Optimise storage capacity by processing obsolete, defective, and/or expired products and managing external inventory movements.

• Contribute to ensuring that procedures and processes are in place. Comply with legal regulations and policy.

• Ensure regular communication with the Dublin Distribution Center by participating in daily updates and monthly reviews.

• Understand, apply, and enforce applicable safety and environmental regulations; promote a safety culture and environmental policy.

• Facilitate and translate our needs to our partners. Facilitate all interactions with the partner in terms of business decisions and issues. Make the link between Customer excellence, Sales…

• Ensure the formalisation and documentation of processes within the scope of activity (drafting and updating procedures, formalizing changes), and contribute to internal and external audits.

•  Performance mgmt. incl. KPIs, reporting etc.

 

Projects

• Able to manage projects independently

• Provide strategic direction for transfer of NP, coordinating cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, etc.).

• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource needs for multiple medium to high complexity projects.

• Identify and mitigate project risks, manage scope changes.

• Communicate project updates and reporting to leadership and internal partners.

Manage continuous improvement projects and plans related to inbound & outbound activities, ensuring compliance with deadlines and deliverables, and contribute to global distribution projects within the organization's scope of activity.

• Lead operational improvement projects in line with the "Continuous Improvement" program and in collaboration with internal departments and the Dublin Distribution Centre.

 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant experience in 3PL management and Supply Chain activity

• BA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Import/Export, or International Trade with prior experience in a similar role in an international environment

• Leadership, organisational skills, and prioritisation, capable of working in a multidisciplinary and international environment

• Enthusiastic and proactive, with a genuine desire to invest in a versatile position requiring a degree of autonomy

• Good analytical skills and the ability to manage continuous improvement projects

• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Organized, multitasking, and open-minded, you have a strong customer satisfaction

    focus and are flexible in a constantly changing environment.

•  IT tools: Microsoft Office, ERP - Oracle/SAP, Outlook, etc., with significant experience in data analysis.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Experience of Working in a matrix organisation is desirable

• International exposure to business partners in other countries
