An exciting new vacancy for a Maintenance Planner is now open in our Blarney Site.

 

The Role:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the proactive planning of maintenance work at the Blarney site. This includes the preparation of job plans and packs, job prioritization, resource planning and allocation, downtime mitigation planning and continuous improvement of the Work Management System (WMS).

 

Duties:

  • Assesses, justifies, and prioritises work requests/orders on the WMS (SAP Next).
  • Ensure all stages of the WMS (Preventative Maintenance & Calibration activities) are adhered to
  • Develops and enhances the WMS process as needed.
  • Schedules planned downtime with Operations (Production and Planning Functions).
  • Develops job plans showing the What & How (Documents, Drawings, Repair Manuals etc.).
  • Determines Job Resources:
  • Estimates Overall Cost of the Job.
  • Supports the addition of equipment assets onto the SAP system, including; equipment tags, calibration/PM frequency and ranges etc.
  • Reviews Work Order (WO) durations as part of ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI). As opportunities for CI arise, discuss with relevant stakeholders to agree implementation plans as required.
  • Ensures all the resources necessary to do a job are accounted for and available prior to releasing the work.
  • Develops detailed plans for the maintenance shutdowns to assist the Maintenance Supervisors and full team.
  • Develops work schedules in close collaboration with the Membrane & Media Engineering team.
  • Supports PM Scrubbing (optimisation and rationalisation of PMs).
  • Supports integration of information relating to new equipment and assets designed// delivered as part of new project investments into the maintenance systems and repositories.
  • Works closely with other functions (Quality, EHS, Engineering) to achieve maintenance and business goals.
  • Supports Development, Review and Update of Maintenance SOPs.
  • Audit Participation: represent maintenance to ensure full quality compliance.
  • Participates in the development and tracking of the departments KPIs i.e. schedule attainment, labour utilization, work order backlog, PM / calibration completion rates, spare usage and costs control.
  • Assists in the management of maintenance contracts and contractors.
  • Analyzes equipment data to report on equipment performance.
  • Supports the development and review of vendor service contracts and raise purchase requisitions as required.

 

Who You Are:

  • Trades qualified or Engineering \ Science Degree or recognised equivalent. 
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably within the Medical Device and \ or Pharmaceutical Industry. 
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems in a production environment. 
  • Previous experience within an ATEX environment an advantage 
  • Demonstrated high performance history, proven ability to execute and get results 
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organisation. 
  • Preferable experience with SAP Next Maintenance Management System. 
  • Knowledge of Reliability Excellence (Rx) and Proactive Maintenance, including predictive, precision and design for maintainability/reliability approaches. 
  • Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality and Environmental Health and Safety.
