The Role

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to Media & Membrane Manufacturing Operations. The maintenance technician will execute all maintenance activities in support of production in a safe, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner, assuring capacity and achieving plant performance metrics. 

List of Equipment (non-exhaustive) consists of Powder Transfer Systems, Mix Vessels, Die extrusion, Membrane Web Handling systems, Annealing Ovens, Test machines, Solvent Recovery Units, Thermal Oxidisers, Heating and Cooling Systems, Chemical Store and Tank Farms.

Duties Include:

•    Responsible for setting up machines to produce product to the specified quality standards.
•    Complete all necessary documentation as per cGMP.
•    Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks.
•    Make all necessary repairs.
•    Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest level and all repairs both internally and externally are inspected and accepted.
•    Complete trouble-shooting for all Media/Membrane equipment & operational related issues
•    Work within a larger engineering team of mechanical and electrical resources including automation, calibrations, facilities, project and system engineers, with emphasis on performance, involvement, teamwork and personal development
•    Utilize the ERP/CMMS system SAPNext , to ensure all maintenance activities executed through consistent application of a work order system.
•    Ensure that all maintenance activities meet all the regulatory standards (e.g. FDA, IMB, HSA, EPA...).

•    Will be required to work some weekends to assist in on-going projects & shut-downs.
•    Will be required to provide shift cover as per business needs and requirements.
•    Will be required to support other Operational sections including Media and BioTools.
•    Must be flexible with working hours, including overtime, when necessary.
•    Travel as required to work on projects, e.g. equipment transfers from other plants, new projects, etc. (Expected to be minimal).    
•    Administration work related to duties such as completing work orders, placing PO’s, liaising with vendors, service providers and contractors.    
Who You Are

•    Relevant mechanical trade or engineering qualification
•    Strong electro-mechanical ability / qualification also desirable

•    Minimum of 3-5 years working in a Med Device or Pharma manufacturing environment
•    Working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems in a production environment
•    Demonstrated high performance history, proven ability to execute and results driven
•    Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organisation
•    Preferable experience with CMMS SAP PM System
•    Preferable experience with a Calibration System
•    Knowledge of TPM, CI and OEE desirable
•    Be familiar with various planned preventative maintenance approaches 
•    Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality and Environmental Health & Safety
•    Familiar with GMP requirements within a regulated industry
•    Effective verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills
•    The ability to work effectively within a team environment
