The Role

Reporting to the Head of Process & Technology Membranes, the Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership to ensure the control, optimization and development of existing or new membrane processes. In addition, the Senior Process Engineer will lead development projects by providing technical direction and guidance. Senior Process & Technology Engineer will collaborate and interact with several different stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required.

This role is responsible for boosting our capabilities in Membrane technology deployment with focus on supporting growth through the development of advancing processing and manufacturing technologies, supporting our overall growth plan and breakthrough improvements in COGS and working capital efficiencies, manufacturing agility & revenue realization through NPI.

The initiation, co-ordination and completion of process development projects within the membrane manufacturing plants, using structured approaches and detailed planning to deliver projects that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and that are delivered Right First Time, safely, on schedule and within budget

 

Duties

•    Lead global and cross functional project teams of technologists, scientists and engineers to scout, develop and approve advanced manufacturing technologies for key LS membrane product families.
•    Help to establish global technology ownership & cross site standardization on membrane manufacturing technologies through application of technology center of expertise strategy.
•    Provide technology governance on key systems implemented across the ISCO network
•    Responsible for the process development for new process technologies and new equipment qualifications. This includes trial work to determine process windows prior to qualifications.
•    The initiation, co-ordination and completion of process development projects within the membrane manufacturing plants, using structured approach and detailed planning to deliver projects that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and that are delivered Right First Time, safely, on schedule and within budget. Use of Root Cause Analysis methodology, and implementation of robust corrective and preventative actions.

 

 

 

Who You Are

Masters’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical), Physics, Material Science, Polymer Science or other relevant field. 

4+ years Process engineering / Process development/ Process industrialization / R&D roles.

Membrane, film or other converting industry experience an advantage. 

Experience in managing end to end process / product development from ideation, through Proof of principle, pilot, scale up and transition to manufacturing.

Strong experience desired in collaboration of process development with NPI & R&D groups.

Experience in successful joint development efforts with external research institutes/ universities.

Proven track record of managing multiple global projects in parallel with a high degree of autonomy.
