Project Engineer

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The role is responsible for managing, execution of various sub-projects within the IC4 project.
  • This scope will include Machine sub assemblies and be-spoke test equipment, test benches and other misc equipment.
  • As part of the role regular updates will be given to the IC4 Machines Group Lead, with regular updates.
  • Managing of project portfolios will also be undertaken in terms of timings, justification and managing execution.
  • On large site projects act as a team member inputting as a project engineering into specific project equipment components.
  • Working with existing and new vendors,  identification of potential new and improved technologies related to membrane manufacturing and other on site processes.

 

 In this role you will be reporting into the IC4 Machines Group Lead or IC4 Engineering Manager,  your duties will include.

  • Determine Project schedules, by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing of tasks and project elements.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, to ensure that they are planned, resourced and completed within the timeframe and budget.
  • Ensure a focus on process improvement is designed into all new equipment as required by the departments.  Identify best in class solutions for the departments that run in parallel to the capital projects that are being worked on.
  • Ensure all production and support groups up to SLT level are up to speed on project progress and ensure project meetings are action driven with defined responsibilities and timelines.
  • Manage and control relevant capital budgets.
  • Identify in the market place companies which can provide us with the engineering know how and deliver the critical path projects.  Work with these partners to develop common standards for both purchased items and machine design.
  • Ensure that projects are run within the safety/environmental requirements.  Support EHS with risk assessments for all new equipment.
  • Support project technical team with initial machine setup and maintenance/equipment issues.
  • Ensure that all appropriate personnel are fully trained on any new technology introduced as part of a project.
  • Utilise the existing project management systems on site to control the projects.
  • Co-ordinate the review and update of any internal documentation affected by the project as well as hand over packs supplied by external vendors.
  • Manage any validation activities involved in completing the above projects, in conjunction with the validation department.
  • Support the department manager/supervisor in the implementation of technological changes where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and safety rules on new and existing equipment.
  • Support FAT and IOQ protocol preparation.
  • Execution of FAT, & IOQ protocols.

 

Candidate Requirements

Level 8 qualification or Min Level 7 with significant on the job experience

Extensive experience in Capital project execution.

Extensive knowledge in Machinery and system design and operation.
