Reporting to the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, the Supplier Quality Engineer’s duties and responsibilities are:
- Responsible for quality aspects of Supplier Quality, Incoming Inspection of Raw Materials and Warehouse/Logistics support
- Management and coordination of Suppliers from a Quality perspective, including Supplier approvals, audits & SCARs
- Support of Incoming QC function, including inspection of raw materials and development of purchase and test specifications to support Incoming QC activities
- Disposition of Non-Conforming Raw Materials
- Management of supplier quality systems to ensure compliance to Divisional and site procedures
- Management of Approved Supplier List
- Auditing of Suppliers
- Liaison with Suppliers to remediate supplier non-conformities
- Identify opportunities for improvements to support operational excellence initiative
- Management of supplier change notification process impacting the site
- Management of supplier documentation including Purchase Specifications and Incoming Test specifications
- Maintenance of material composition information for raw materials onsite and support the Divisional Regulatory team response to customer queries
- Communication with relevant functions internally and external to the organisation to ensure timely execution of activities and remediation of issues
- Identify and execute opportunities for improvements within the Supplier Quality and Incoming QC remit
- Support the introduction of new products and new suppliers onsite
- Support the Logistics & Warehouse function from a Quality standpoint
- Ensure compliance to the quality management system including but not limited to documentation system, change control and deviations
- Management and communication of Supplier Quality metrics as required
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Environment, Health and Safety legislation and adherence to site EHS procedures for area of responsibilities
