The Role:

 

We are seeking a key contributor to our Western Europe Academia and Pharma business strategy, focusing on sustainable growth in UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The role involves maximising sales revenue and opportunity pipeline, margin, growth, and profit while enhancing sales force effectiveness through proper training and support.

Additionally, you will ensure that customers receive exceptional support and high-quality service from our organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a result-driven leader by providing regular, accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Drive the team to focus on main growth drivers to achieve above-market growth and exceed sales targets using effective sales tactics and tools.
  • Improve pricing contribution through effective discount management and competitor intelligence.
  • In cooperation with Marketing, develop and implement specific digital sales strategies and tactics for Western Europe to achieve commercial excellence.
  • Work in a matrix organization, demonstrating leadership and establishing teamwork through effective communication and common objective setting.
  • Establish objectives and monitor performance for direct reports while supporting their development.
  • Collaborate as part of the senior sales management team to achieve Western European targets.
  • Coach sales managers in all aspects of the sales process and encourage the team to excel in customer centricity.

 

Who you are

 

  • Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in a Scientific or Business field; ideally possessing both diplomas/degrees.
  • Experience: Substantial commercial experience with a proven track record of consistent sales growth in the Life Science industry.
  • Leadership: Strong people leadership experience (5-7+ years), managing local, regional, or EMEA teams and effectively handling change and conflicts.
  • Customer Programs: Demonstrated experience in introducing effective customer intimacy programs and managing local/regional/EMEA projects.
  • IT Proficiency: Champion and expert user of IT digital and sales-related systems.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Strong people management, analytical skills, and proficiency in coaching sales methodologies; excellent English communication, collaborative skills, and cultural sensitivity.
