The Role

A vacancy for Production Planner is now open in our site in Blarney, Cork.

The Production Planner will develop and maintain production and capacity plans for annual, quarterly, and weekly cycles, leveraging advanced digital tools and analytics. They will ensure service and inventory metrics are achieved, balancing efficiency, agility, and sustainability goals. In addition, the Production Planner will represent the needs of intercompany stakeholders and direct customers, serving as a critical link between demand, supply, and business objectives.

Duties

•    Translate demand forecasts into optimized production plans and schedules, integrating customer, forecasted, and capacity constraints, and proactively identifying gaps and solutions.
•    Leverage digital planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, advanced Excel, BI/AI forecasting tools) to enable data-driven decisions and scenario planning.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Quality, IT, Sales, and external suppliers to drive supply chain resilience and business outcomes.
•    Champion process improvement, sustainability, and risk mitigation through continuous review, innovation, and adoption of best practices.
•    Analyze data to resolve issues rapidly, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.
•    Develop and present scenario models and reports to support risk-based decision-making and business knowledge creation.
•    Drive monthly supply reviews and S&OP meetings, ensuring data accuracy, insight generation, and stakeholder alignment.
•    Lead or participate in change initiatives, adapting to evolving technologies, markets, and regulatory frameworks.
•    Communicate trends, risks, and opportunities clearly to all levels of the organization.
•    Support long-term capacity planning and strategic initiatives, including sustainability and digital transformation projects.
•    Mentor and support team development within a high-performance, inclusive culture.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
•    Supply Chain certification (APICS, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
•    4–9 years’ experience in supply chain or planning roles.
•    Demonstrated expertise with ERP and digital planning tools; experience with BI/AI analytics a plus.

•    Exceptional data analysis, scenario planning, and problem-solving skills.
•    Proven record of cross-functional collaboration and influence.
•    Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
•    Demonstrated adaptability, continuous improvement mindset, and commitment to sustainability.
