Analytical Operations and QC Lab Manager

 

The Biotech Development Center (BDC) is our Company's flagship biotech investment in line with the ambition to stay the Vibrant Science and Technology Company. The BDC is integrating analytical technologies of the future with high-tech automatized and digital laboratories, in a flexible, agile and highly collaborative environment.

 

Your role:

 

Reporting to the “Analytical Operations & Quality Control Head of Unit” in the Global Analytical Development organization, this role represents an opportunity to significantly contribute to high-tech GMP analytical laboratories in the BDC, by actively leading a team of specialists with key responsibilities in raw material management, stability management, specification setting and planning while proactively leading, contributing and executing new workflows in a cross functional set up. You liaise with peer QA and QC and production managers and you allow this support lab to run smoothly whilst managing a team of collaborators eager to develop in a context of growth, simplification, and changes to ensure the delivery of our specialty innovator Biotech pipeline to patients.

 

Your key responsibilities in this role are:

 

  • Manage the laboratory to ensure compliance with cGMPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and fine-tune workflows within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the use of validated and qualified analytical methods and equipment.
  • Provide a customer-focused analytical service with a partnership mindset.
  • Maintain reliable and accurate documentation in the laboratory.
  • Support the transfer and implementation of new analytical test methods.
  • Foster employee development and multiskilling within the team.
  • Ensure data integrity in accordance with established rules.
  • Review and manage initiatives to improve operational efficiency and GMP performance.
  • Present and defend relevant topics during health authority inspections.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Graduate degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or Biotechnology.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory within a GMP environment.
  • Proven supervisory/management experience in an analytical lab with leadership skills.
  • Solid knowledge of CMC NBE development.
  • Familiarity with GLP/GMP/Quality Systems and international guidelines (e.g., ICH, Pharmacopeias).
  • Team player with strong communication skills in English.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to multitask.
  • Open-minded and proactive in proposing solutions and driving efficiency.
